 ~Holiday Gift Drive for CASA~

Children in foster care struggle with feelings of sadness, loneliness, and disappointment, especially during the holiday season.  We are hoping we can count on you this year to donate to our Holiday Gift Drive.  This is an opportunity to give directly to children in foster care in Baltimore. We are asking that you consider helping us with donations of gifts and/or gift certificates or by making a financial contribution so that staff can purchase what is needed for the upcoming holidays for CASA children.  Gifts and gift certificates that are donated will be made available to the volunteer advocates at our annual volunteer appreciation holiday celebration to bring to their CASA children.

During the holiday season your support and generosity are needed more than ever.  Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Kenya Hamilton at 410-244-1465 or Susan Burger at sburger@casabalt.org to let us know if you can help!  You may also want to learn more about us by going to our website: www.casabalt.org, following us on twitter @CASAofBaltimore, or friending CASA of Baltimore City on Facebook.

We want to thank you in advance for your generosity and willingness to help bring joy and hope to our children this holiday season.

We realize that not everyone has the time to be a CASA volunteer but each person can help bridge the gap between the thousands of children in the Baltimore City child welfare system and the number of children served by CASA of Baltimore.

Help us recruit and train more volunteers so we can reach more children.  A donation can make a difference and enable CASA Baltimore to make the system accountable and provide the children with the attention they need to help keep them safe and help change their lives.

CASA of Baltimore's growth depends on the generosity of people like you.  Please send your tax-deductible donation today.

The Weinberg Foundation, recognizing the value of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Baltimore City’s foster children, generously offered a challenge to CASA of Baltimore, Inc.  A $20,000 matching grant was promised to the organization if we could raise $20,000 in donations before March, 2012.  CASA of Baltimore thanks you for helping us to meet this challenge long before that March deadline.  We have reached this goal and have received the $20,000 grant.  These donations together with the grant support a staff person who trains and supervises CASA volunteers.  We concentrate funding the staff positions that will enable us to serve more children.  This hardworking, dedicated, extremely competent staff work tirelessly for CASA of Baltimore and contribute greatly to the quality of CASA of Baltimore as an organization.  Your contribution changes the lives of young people.  Thank you for your support.

YOU can make a difference in a child’s life.
