You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.

The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA of Baltimore) trains volunteers that advocate for abused and neglected children in Baltimore City.

You can get involved in several capacities:

Become a CASA Volunteer: Complete a volunteer inquiry form if you are at least 21 years of age and are interested in becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

Volunteer in the CASA Office: Volunteers are always needed to help with filing, mailings and other internal activities. Call Cindy for details: 410-244-1465

Become a Special Project Volunteer: Volunteers are often needed on a time-limited basis to help with fundraising events, public awareness activities, the newsletter, and many other projects. CASA of Baltimore could also use help in recruiting more volunteers to work with the children.

Pledge Your Support Now!: A great way to support CASA of Baltimore is with your tax deductible contribution. CASA of Baltimore must raise a large portion of its annual budget. Community support in the form of monetary donations helps to support professional staff who train and supervise the volunteers. To make your donation now, please complete the Pledge form.

No transaction will take place until you mail in your donation. Return your completed pledge form to the CASA of Baltimore office:

P.O. Box 13004 / Baltimore, MD, 21203
You can also fax your completed pledge form to the office at 410–244-1460

CASA volunteers wear many hats:

Visitor: Volunteers develop an informal one-on-one relationship with the child, providing understanding, explanations of the complex court and child welfare systems, attention, and support.

Researcher: Volunteers engage in comprehensive investigations that include conducting personal interviews with family members and professionals involved with the child and reviewing records, documents and clinical data.

Reporter: Volunteers are responsible for providing the court with written reports prior to each hearing.

Facilitator: Volunteers facilitate communication between the court, social workers, attorneys, therapists, teachers, etc., to ensure that all parties fulfill their obligations to the child in a timely manner.

Monitor: Volunteers are responsible for monitoring all court orders to ensure compliance by all parties and for informing the court of any changes in the child’s status that require modification of the court order.
